After sealing promotion to the topflight, the next target for Leeds United will be to secure the English Championship title as they host Bristol City in the penultimate fixture of the season.

Still pushing for a promotion playoff place, the visitors also have much to play for but head into this clash with a poor record on their recent travels. The hosts have been imperious lately, especially at home, and should have the upper hand here.

Leeds United confirmed their promotion to the English Premier League after claiming a 6-0 victory over Stoke City last time out in the Championship, with Joel Piroe scoring four goals. Despite meeting his primary target for the season, speculation is rife about the future of manager Daniel Farke, with the hierarchy worried about his record in the topflight.

The boss will be keen to block out those speculation as there is a league title to be won, with Leeds United only top of the table on goal difference. They will be feeling confident heading into this clash having won their last four matches, while also winning the first half in five of the last six matches.

Already the leading scorers in the Championship this season, Leeds United showed their attacking quality in the win over Stoke City. They have scored in both halves in three of the last four home matches, while Piroe's four-goal haul means he is now the top scorer in the league with 19 goals.

Bristol City Form

Sitting fifth in the table, four points above the chasing pack, Bristol City are just one win away from confirming their promotion playoff place. They have shown some good form lately and are unbeaten in four of their last five matches, claiming three wins in that run.

Although things appear solid for Bristol City at the moment, they will travel to Elland Road off the back of a 3-1 defeat at struggling Luton Town in their previous Championship fixture. George Tanner's second half effort proved to be a mere consolation as they were no match for their troubled hosts.

That result is part of a poor record on the road for Bristol City, who are winless in 13 of their last 14 Championship away matches. Liam Manning's team have lost to the other promoted side in that run as they fell 1-0 to Burnley.

Head to Head

Both teams battled to a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture back in October, a result that extended Leeds United's unbeaten run against Bristol City to 10 matches. The hosts have picked up eight wins in that run and have also been victorious in four of the last five home meetings.

Promotion may be secured but Leeds United are still 4xpecyed to be fired up for this one as they look to win the title. The hosts have won their last four matches and should ease past Bristol City, who are poor on the road.

Leeds United boast the best attack in the Championship and having scored in both halves in three of their last four home matches, a repeat is expected here. Piroe is playing with confidence at the moment after netting four times against Stoke and could be set to score his 20th league goal of the season.
