Despite thier success at the Major, Miami Heretics enter this match as underdogs, which should raise a few questions, namely why are Minnesota RØKKR billed as the most likely victors. On the one hand, Miami Heretics have overperformed in Spain, but it is not like Minnesota RØKKR have shown a lot more.

This should be a competitive game and while there is no telling whether the Heretics can recreate the success from the Major, I’ve not seen enough from Minnesota RØKKR to take thier side at the offered betting odds.

Miami Heretics exceeded expectations at CDL 2025 Stage 1 Major where they placed third, despite looking a bit shaky during the qualifiers. This could indicate improvement or that the Heretics are a better team on LAN than online.

Heretics are a solid Hardpoint team (13-10), but a bit less consistent on Search & Destroy, although they do well on Hacienda and Red Card, and potentially on Protocol. Control is their weakest game mode with a 1-8 record and 0-6 on Hacienda; but this should not be an issue as Minnesota RØKKR do not play the map.

Overall, Miami Heretics have some strong points, but they really need to work on thier Control map pool.

Minnesota RØKKR like Miami Heretics have to expand their map pool if they wish to reach new heights. They did well at the recent Major and made it to the third round of the lower bracket, before losing to Miami Heretics in a closely contested five-map game.

Prior to that Minnesota RØKKR bested Vancouver Surge and Cloud9 New York which is nothing too spectacular and hardly a good reason for celebration.

Minnesota RØKKR are decent on Hardpoint (50%) and Search & Destroy (53.3%), but still need to work on Control, where they only do well on Vault.

Like Miami Heretics, Minnesota RØKKR have some work to do with their map pool. But both teams have potential to be great.

Miami Heretics bested Minnesota RØKKR at the Major (3-2), yet they are expected to lose the rematch, which does not sound right. While you may argue that Miami Heretics overperformed at the Major, it is also not fair to say that Minnesota RØKKR underperformed in their recent meeting.

This should be another competitive game which can go both ways; however, with momentum on their side, the Heretics are a more appealing pick in my eye.
