Sheffield United will be looking to reclaim top spot in the English Championship when they host Millwall in a midweek fixture.

The hosts may be doing the chasing in the league at the moment but remain a formidable side especially at home. They should be too strong for the visitors, who often struggle on their travels.

They will be targeting a swift return to winning ways on Tuesday and are unbeaten in five of their last six home matches, claiming a 3-1 victory at Coventry City in their previous fixture at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United are also solid going forward and tend to strike first having opened the scoring in nine of their last 10 Championship matches. Tyrese Campbell is often the focal point of their attack and has 10 Championship goals this season, including three in the last three home matches.

Millwall Form

Millwall travel to Bramall Lane off the back of a 2-1 victory over Portsmouth in their previous Championship fixture, with Mihailo Ivanovic netting a brace. That win keeps them within range of the promotion playoff places, sitting six points off the top six.

The problem for Millwall is that they have struggled to find some consistency lately, with just three wins from their last seven Championship matches. Alex Neil’s men have suffered four defeats in that run.

Another Issue for Millwall is their poor record on their travels as they are winless in five of their last seven away matches across all competitions. The Lions have lost three of the last four fixtures in that run and were beaten 1-0 by Sunderland in their previous fixture on the road.

Sheffield United and Millwall have claimed 13 wins each and five draws from 30 previous matches. However, the hosts have won three of the last four meetings and picked up a 1-0 away victory in the reverse fixture back in December.

Sheffield United will view the defeat at Oxford United as a minor blip and will be confident of getting back on track on Tuesday. They are unbeaten in five of the last six matches and should have the upper hand over Millwall, who have lost three of their last four away fixtures.

Having scored in the last three home matches, Campbell can be backed to find the net once again while Sheffield United are also likely to maintain their trend of scoring first.
