Real Madrid vs Leganes
Real Madrid are still keeping close tabs on leaders Barcelona as they travel to Leganes for a Spanish La Liga fixture on Saturday.
The hosts have been in good form lately and continue to impress at the Santiago Bernabeu. With Kylian Mbappe now fully settled in the Spanish capital, Los Blancos are expected to have too much quality for the visitors who are down in the relegation zone.
Real Madrid Form
Real Madrid went into the international break in good form, winning three of their last four la Liga matches. They came from behind to earn a 2-1 victory at Villarreal in their previous fixture, with Mbappe netting a brace.
Things are even better at home for Real Madrid, who are unbeaten in their last seven La Liga matches at the Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti’s men have picked up six wins in that run, with a 4-1 victory over Las Palmas and a 4-0 thrashing of Osasuna among their results.
Mbappe's form in the last few weeks will be pleasing to the Real Madrid faithful, with the French forward already on 20 La Liga goals this season. Alongside Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, he is part of a prolific attacking line for Los Blancos that has scored in both halves in three of their last four home matches across all competitions.
Leganes Form
Leganes are battling at the opposite end of the table and currently sit third from bottom. The good news for Borja Jimenez’s team is that they are not too far from safety and can climb up to 15th in the table if results go their way this weekend.
While Leganes are not doomed yet, their recent form does not offer much hope for survival, with the visitors winless in seven of their last eight La Liga matches. They have been beaten six times in that run and suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Real Betis in their previous fixture despite taking a two-goal lead through a Dani Raba brace.
Leganes also find things difficult on their travels and are winless in 13 of their 14 La Liga away matches so far. They have lost their last three fixtures in that run, with a 3-0 defeat at Real Sociedad among their results.

Real Madrid have claimed 10 wins and two draws while Leganes have been victorious just twice from 14 previous matches. Los Blancos claimed a 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture in February while the last home meeting back in 2019 ended in a 5-0 win.
Verdict
Leganes are usually no match for Real Madrid and their recent form suggests that trend is unlikely to change this weekend. Los Blancos have won five of their last six home matches and with victories like the 4-0 thrashing of Osasuna among their results, a -2 handicap can be considered.
Mbappe has 10 goals in the last 10 La Liga matches and is expected to maintain his scoring run here. With the entire attack also looking prolific, Real Madrid are likely to maintain their trend of scoring in both halves.
