Two struggling teams, Vegas Falcons and Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, will face off on Sunday, March 9, in the third week of Call of Duty League (CDL) 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers, in a rematch from January when the Guerrillas won in three maps.

The rematch should end with the same victorious team, albeit there are arguments to be made that the Guerrillas will drop at least one map.

They have been in terrible form since the start of the season and have managed just three wins. That is still better than the Falcons who are winless, albeit Los Angeles Guerrillas are anything but a solid squad.

Vegas Falcons are objectively the weakest team in the league, and that will not change anytime soon. They have yet to win a game and have, so far, picked up just seven maps (7-42), which alone indicates where they stand.

The Falcons tend to be relatively decent to Search & Destroy, as displayed in their 1-3 loss to Toronto Ultra on Friday, but they they can't win a Hardpoint and have not shown much on Control either.

On a more positive note, the Vegas Falcons are set to face another struggling team who have issues across the board. So, even though it is unlikely for the Falcons to win with their Hardpoint record, they should have a solid opportunity to win one S&D.

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 Form

Los Angeles Guerrillas suffered their sixth loss over a seven-game stretch on Friday when they kneeled in front of Cloud9 New York. It was a one-sided game, which, considering Cloud9's improvement, is not too surprising, but it's also Los Angeles Guerrillas' form that makes that loss expected.

LAGM ended the game with 158-250 on Hardpoint, 2-6 on Search & Destroy, and 0-3 on Control, which highlights their main issues; they're not good on any game mode, with 41.2%-, 33.3%-, and 45.5%-win rates. Control is their best mode, especially Vault, where the Guerrillas are 75%.

This should be enough to defeat the Vegas Falcons, but I do not expect to see a clean sweep.

Vegas Falcons v Los Angeles Guerrillas M8

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 are in a very bad shape, and yet they're priced as massive favourites to defeat Vegas Falcons. This is more a testament to the Falcons' struggles than anything else, but I find it hard to trust a team like LAGM to sweep.

They are not good in any game mode, and if they do not perform to the best of their abilities, the Vegas Falcons might be tougher to beat than expected. I am giving LAGM a Hardpoint, as the Vegas Falcons have yet to win it this season. However, Control, and especially Search & Destroy, could be close.
