Vegas Falcons will chase their first victory of the season on Saturday, March 15, when they take on the Carolina Royal Ravens in the final week of Call of Duty League (CDL) 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers.

While the Vegas Falcons are hungry for a win, it is hard to believe they can accomplish anything on Saturday, having shown nothing of substance since the start of the season.

The Falcons are 0-16 with just eight maps won, and not one is Hardpint – which is a game mode on which the Carolina Royal Ravens are the most vulnerable.

This is an unwinnable match for the Falcons, who should not win a single map, let alone the whole series.

Vegas Falcons enter this match in atrocious form, and that's saying it lightly. They are 0-6 in CDL 2025 Stage 2 with a 3-18 map record.

This stage, the Falcons have managed to take maps off LA Thieves (1-3), Boston Breach (1-3), and Toronto Ultra (1-3), which proves nothing except that the Falcons can be competitive on Control and Search & Destroy.

This, however, won't do them any good on Saturday, as the Royal Ravens are very efficient on both.

Carolina Royal Ravens Form

Carolina Royal Ravens have been a bit underwhelming this season, mainly due to their poor performances on respawn. This, however, did not seem to be the case last week when they defeated Cloud9 New York 3-1, dropping just one Control (2-3).

Regardless of the better display on Hardpoint, Royal Ravens are still just 45.8% on the game mode, and 24% on Vault. While this is an issue, it won't be a big problem on Saturday, as the Falcons have yet to win a Hardpoint map.

On the other hand, the Royal Ravens are good on Control (53.3%) and Search & Destroy (61.1%), so they only really need to work on Hardpoint to break into the elite few teams.

I'm not sold on the idea that Carolina Royal Ravens can compete for top spots in the CDL just yet – or at the very least until they improve on Hardpoint. However, it seems like they've started to work on the game mode, as the Royal Ravens played well against C9NY.

For this match, in particular, a shaky Hardpoint record does not prove anything, as the Falcons are the league's worst team in the game mode. The outsiders have done some damage against other teams on Control and S&D before, but this likely won't be the case this weekend, so it is easy to believe the Royal Ravens can win 3-0 without major issues.
