ThunderTalk Gaming vs LNG Esports Predictions
ThunderTalk Gaming and LNG Esports will kick off the 2025 LoL esports season on Monday, January 13, when they face off in the first week of LPL 2025 Split 1. Both teams have made some roster changes this offseason, albeit TT Gaming brought in just one, while LNG replaced their entire bot side.

While replacing three players usually leads to a lack of chemistry, LNG Esports do not have to worry about it, having signed an ADC and support who previously played together. What LNG Esports should be worried about is Photic's form, which could make or break their year.
Beside the questions about Photic, LNG Esports have put together a much more competent roster with a much higher ceiling.
- LNG Esports have the potential to fly high
- ThunderTalk Gaming remain a mid-table team
- Barring any surprises, LNG Esports should win
Head to Head
ThunderTalk Gaming and LNG Esports have yet to meet this season.
ThunderTalk Gaming Form
ThunderTalk enter the 2025 LPL season as one of the outsiders. With just one new singing, they likely won't massively improve from their run through 2024, when they ended LPL 2024 Spring and Summer in 13th and ninth-10th-place, respectively.
During the offseason, TT Gaming showed a bit more and made the semifinals of Demacia Cup 2024, with solid macro concepts and evidently good synergy – which comes with the continuation of their 2024 core.
Still one of the weaker Chinese LoL teams, TT Gaming's bottom lane is quite solid, which should be enough for a few victories this season.
ThunderTalk Gaming Squad & Team News
ThunderTalk added mid laner Song "SeTab" Kyeong-jin as the only new singing of the offseason.
- Yoon "Hoya" Yong-ho – top lane
- Yang "Beichuan" Ling – jungle
- Song "SeTab" Kyeong-jin – mid lane
- Li "1xn" Xiunan - ADC
- Wangtian "Feather" Cifu – support
LNG Esports Form
LNG Esports opted for quite a drastic roster revamp this offseason, and put together a roster which has high upside. Top laner Zika was great in 2024, and you can not complain about what jungler Weiwei showed in the latter half of the last season.
The bigger questions are in the mid and bottom lane. Haichao is a promising mid laner who made a name for himself in the summer split and could be a massive addition. Likewise, you can feel optimistic about LNG's bottom lane, as Photic and Zhuo have pre-established chemistry.
One concern with LNG, however, is Photic, who had a terrible year in 2024. If he can improve, LNG can fly high; if we see more of what we saw in 2024, LNG might struggle to break into the playoffs.
LNG Esports Squad & Team News
This offseason, LNG Esports acquired mid laner Zhang "Haichao" Haichao, ADC Ying "Photic" Qishen, and support Wang "Zhuo" Xuzhuo.
- Tang "Zika" Huayu – top lane
- Wei "Weiwei" Bohan – jungle
- Zhang "Haichao" Haichao – mid lane
- Ying "Photic" Qishen – ADC
- Wang "Zhuo" Xuzhuo – support
Verdict
ThunderTalk Gaming did not make any significant roster changes ahead of the 2025 esports season, so it is fair to say they will not look much different to how they did in 2024. LNG Esports, on the other side, replaced three players but brought in solid additions, which could help them reach for new heights.
The new look lineup looks a bit more unstable, mainly due to ADC Photic's disastrous year. But if he can show the same form he did in 2022 and 2023, LNG Esports will be a force to be reckoned with.
Early-season games tend to be more unpredictable. However, I would much rather be on the side of LNG Esports who have a significantly higher ceiling than TT Gaming.
