Team Vitality enter BLAST Open Spring 2025 as the hottest Counter-Strike 2 team in the world and the leading favourites to win the tournament.

The Bees have been in exceptional form this season and won the last two Big Events, including IEM Katowice 2025 and ESL Pro League Season 21, outperforming the world's best teams.

Astralis have not found nearly as much success this season, with just one noteworthy tournament run at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 (3rd place). And while Astralis performed well in Romania, they should be no match for Vitality, who are in a class of their own.

Team Vitality are in great shape ahead of BLAST Open Spring 2025 and rightly considered the main favourites to win the tournament. They have been unstoppable since the start of February and have won two significant events over the last month and a half – Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025 and ESL Pro League Season 21.

Over that stretch, Vitality have racked in 11 straight victories and a 24-3 map record, all while beating some of the world's best teams. At this point, Vitality's form and quality are unquestionable – the only real question with this team is when or if they're going to slow down.

With all of their players in excellent form and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut averaging an absurd 1.43 performance rating over the last three months, Vitality will be very hard to stop.

Astralis enter this match as underdogs, and that's more than fair. The Danes have not been considered one of the top Counter-Strike 2 teams in the world for a while now, and there is no indication that this will change anytime soon.

Admittedly, Astralis showed some signs of life in February, with a third-place finish at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, but they have not played a game since. Moreover, Astralis have managed just a couple of notable wins since the turn of the year – against MongolZ and FaZe Clan – both at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025.

At one point, Astralis will start playing better, but it seems they're still far off reaching their peak form.

Team Vitality v Astralis

This is Team Vitality's game to lose, and there is not much more to say about it. While it is fair to ask yourself whether Vitality will be as dominant at BLAST Open Spring 2025 as they were during IEM Katowice 2025 and ESL Pro League Season 21, as some fatigue should set in, I see that as a poor excuse to doubt Vitality for this match.

That is mainly because Astralis have not shown enough this season to be considered a serious threat to the Bees, who are on an 11-game winning streak and in the shape of their life.

Another clean victory for Vitality is on the cards.
