After weeks of rumours and speculations, JD Gaming announced the arrival of mid laner Lee "Scout" Ye-chan, who joins JDG's 2025 League of Legends roster.

JD Gaming started rebuilding their lineup in November, following a highly disappointing run through the 2024 season, which the Chinese juggernauts ended prematurely.

Billed as one of the strongest teams in the LoL Pro League (LPL), JD Gaming had a promising start to the year, with a third-place finish in the LPL 2024 Spring Playoffs.
However, things went downhill from there, as JDG ended the LPL 2024 Summer Playoffs in the seventh-eighth and ended the season with a third-place finish in the LPL 2024 Regional Finals.

After missing the LoL World Championship 2024, JD Gaming opted for a full rebuild, which started with the departure of ADC Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk and, shortly after, top laners Li "Flandre" Xuan-Jun and Xu "sheer" Wen-Jie, who got replaced by Hu "Ale" Jia-Le on November 30.

Earlier this week, JD Gaming signed the first new member of the new project, coach Kim "cvMax" Dae-ho and revealed the addition of ADC Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan on Friday.

Scout is the fourth new addition to JD Gaming's 2025 lineup. He joins as a replacement for Zeng "Yagao" Qi, who was cut from the team on the same day.
The 26-year-old mid laner joins JDG following a shaky season with LNG Esports, with who he had not accomplished much throughout the 2024 season.

LNG found more momentum in the latter stages of the year. They won the LPL 2024 Regional Finals but exited LoL Worlds 2024 in the quarterfinals following a 1-3 loss to Weibo Gaming.

Despite the underwhelming two seasons with LNG, Scout was named LPL MVP in both splits in 2023 and played a key role in the team's run to LoL Worlds.

By signing Scout, JD Gaming have nearly finalised their 2025 LoL esports roster, missing just a jungler to complete the lineup.
