MOUZ made a big roster change ahead of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, bringing in Spinx to the roster, and while they had a slow start, MOUZ seemed to have figured things out and posted a promising performance in the final round of the Swiss Stage when they beat Virtus.pro.

However, as it is evident, MOUZ are not quite there yet, which could be a problem as they face the surging paiN Gaming, who are in great shape and, as proven before, capable of competing against the world’s top teams.

This is anyone’s game to win, and while MOUZ should be in a better spot to come out ahead, a competitive series is likely on the cards.

PaiN Gaming had a great start to the 2025 Counter-Strike 2 season as they made it to the BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 LAN stage with wins against FaZe Clan and GamerLegion. After a rough showing at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025, where paiN placed 17th-20th, they re-found some traction at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 and made it to the playoffs with a 3-1 record.

Over that stretch, paiN bested Astralis (2-1), Team Falcons (2-1), and Virtus.pro (2-0), while their only loss came against the surging The MongolZ (1-2). Even that game could’ve easily ended in a 2-0 sweep for the Brazilian lineup.

PaiN Gaming have been playing incredibly well since the turn of the year and are now up against MOUZ, who have looked a bit rough around the edges. This is a winnable game for the Brazilians.

MOUZ Form

MOUZ made a significant roster change ahead of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 and brought in Spinx from Team Vitality. The Israeli rifler has, since his arrival, played 12 maps for MOUZ and averaged a solid 1.12 rating, slightly behind xertioN and torzsi with 1.16 and 1.17, respectively.

While MOUZ have managed to incorporate Spinx fairly quickly, they have not looked too convincing in their past games, with some questionable decision-making.

That was still enough for MOUZ to make it through the Swiss Stage with a 3-2 record, but they have had some close games and seemed vulnerable, especially on Mirage and Ancient.

MOUZ have a higher ceiling than paiN Gaming, but they have not looked too sharp en route to PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 playoffs. The Brazilians do not have as much experience playing on LAN, which could be a factor, but they have been playing smarter than MOUZ.
