MOUZ and BIG will face off on Friday, February 14, in the first round of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, marking their first clash of 2025 and a proper test for BIG, who have not looked good since the turn of the year.

The German outfit have managed just four wins since the start of a new season, and that includes just one notable victory, against HEROIC during IEM Katowice 2025. Besides that, BIG have been widely disappointing with their results, losing both to stronger teams and a few weaker opponents.

MOUZ have not been in the best shape either as they have lost all three games played this season; however things are looking up with the addition of Spinx, who should help MOUZ find more traction.

This will be the first meeting between BIG and MOUZ this season.

MOUZ have had a very tough start to the 2025 Counter-Strike esports season, as they crashed out of BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 Closed Qualifiers in the first round, and suffered the same fate at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025, with losses against GamerLegion and Team Liquid.

In their defence, MOUZ had to travel to Katowice with a stand-in, so a worse showing was expected. Things are now, however, looking up as MOUZ can finally field their newest signing, Spinx who joined the international squad just under a month ago.

Regardless of MOUZ’s lacklustre results early into 2025, this is one of the world’s best CS2 teams and if Spinx can find his place in the roster quickly, we can start talking about a potential title run.

BIG Form

BIG have not been holding on well this season. They did not make it far at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 Closed Qualifiers (ninth-16th) or IEM Katowice 2025 (13th-16th), and have hardly shown more at RES Showdown Spring 2025 (fifth-eighth).

The German squad are 4-7 since the turn of the year and 1-5 from their last six, with just one win against the struggling OG and losses against HEROIC, BC.Game, 500, 3DMAX, and FaZe Clan.

Verdict

MOUZ v BIG

BIG showed some signs of life in late 2024, but since the early 2025 roster changes, they have been struggling both against stronger and even some weaker teams. Their map pool is also fairly weak, with a positive win rate on just Ancient, which is likely getting banned by MOUZ.

MOUZ have been severely underperforming, but it is hard to make any conclusions based only on three games; two of which were played with an academy stand-in.

With Spinx joining the roster, MOUZ have everything they need to make a deep run at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 and they should not struggle taking down BIG.
