Los Angeles Thieves vs Boston Breach Predictions

Los Angeles Thieves and Boston Breach will face off on Saturday, March 8, in the third week of Call of Duty League (CDL) 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers. It'll mark a rematch from late January when Boston Breach won, but a victory will come much harder for the outsiders this time.

Despite their success last time out, Boston Breach enter this match as heavy underdogs as they get ready to face one of the hottest teams in the league. When the Thieves lost to Boston Breach in January, they were not in the best shape, but a lot has changed since.

LA Thieves are fresh off a dominant display in CDL 2025 Stage 2 Minor and are on a six-game winning streak, which includes dominant victories against teams who are significantly better than the Breach. The outsiders, on the other side are in terrible form.

Los Angeles Thieves enter the third week of CDL 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers on a six-game winning streak.

That includes victories against Carolina Royal Ravens (3-0), Vegas Falcons (3-1), and Toronto Ultra at the start of CDL 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers and three from their title run at CDL 2025 Stage 2 Minor – against C9NY (3-1), Royal Ravens (3-0), and Vancouver Surge (4-3).

Thieves have been playing exceptionally well for a while now, showing an entirely different side to them compared to very early into the season when they lost to the Breach.

Boston Breach Form

Boston Breach are 4-6 from their last 10, which is as bad as it sounds. While that stretch includes a 3-2 victory against LA Thieves in CDL 2025 Stage 1 Major Qualifiers, the Breach have since lost to FaZe, Cloud9 New York, Toronto Ultra, and Vancouver Surge.

It is very hard to feel optimistic about Boston Breach and their chances to do well when faced with tougher teams, considering what they've shown of late.

Their Hardpoint is not terrible, with a 52.6% win rate. However, Control (27.3%) and Search & Destroy (37.5%) need a lot of work. With numbers like that, the Breach should have no business beating Los Angeles Thieves.

Los Angeles Thieves v Boston Breach

This is Los Angeles Thieves' game to lose, and it is impossible to argue otherwise. Boston Breach might've beaten the Thieves last time out, but it was a complete fluke, and they're in much worse shape heading into this match.

With a sub-40% win rate on Control and Search & Destroy, the Breach are already in a massive disadvantage. And even though they do well on Hardpoint, it is unlikely for them to take a map off the Thieves unless we see Vault.

This should end in a 3-0 sweep for the Los Angeles Thieves.
