Having recently added Noah "Lunarz" Whillock, Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 will hope they can find more success in their CDL campaign, having managed just two wins since the start of the season. This, however, will be easier said than done as they take on Vancouver Surge, who have looked much better since the arrival of Neptune.
With momentum on their side and an improved synergy, Vancouver Surge look poised to win against Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, who, even with the latest arrival, do not seem like they will manage to fix their issues.

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 added Noah "Lunarz" Whillock to their lineup after a very rough start to the season. They got last in CDL 2025 Stage 1 Major and lost their first match of Stage 2 qualifiers against Boston Breach.
A big reason for their struggles is poor Search & Destroy, where the Guerrillas hold a 33.3% win rate. Looking at this roster, they should not be that bad on S&D, indicating that roster change was indeed needed.
It is unclear how Lunarz will fit in with the rest of the team and whether he is the solution LAGM need to improve. But from the looks of it, one roster change will not be enough.

Vancouver Surge had a very tough start to the season but have looked like a completely new version of themselves since the arrival of Neptune. The Surge kicked off CDL 2025 Stage 2 Major Qualifiers with two victories against Atlanta FaZe and Cloud9 New York.
Those are very promising results, and there is a noticeable improvement on Protocol. While two good games are not enough to make conclusions, the Surge showed enough last weekend to have fait in them and their chances to keep the streak going.

With Lunarz joining Los Angeles Guerrillas M8, they could look better. But changing one player will likely not fix their Search & Destroy issues. Moreover, his arrival could affect other game modes.
The Guerrillas are a bit of an enigma and will remain as such until they play a few games. The Surge, on the other side, proved that their roster change works, so I have much more faith in Neptune and his crew to perform on Saturday.
