Flandre leaves JD Gaming
Just a month after releasing ADC Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk, JD Gaming revealed they are parting ways with their top laners Li "Flandre" Xuan-Jun and Wu "sheer" Wen-Jie. To fill in the gap, JDG acquired Hu "Ale" Jia-Le, who joins the Chinese juggernauts after a five-month stint with Anyone's Legend.

In the announcement post on X, JD Gaming revealed that Flandre's departure was a mutual decision between the organisation and the player, who is now looking for a new home for the 2025 LoL esports season.
Flandre's departure ends the 26-year-old's one-year stint with JD Gaming, who he joined before the 2024 LoL Pro League (LPL) season from EDward Gaming.

As one of the most recognisable names in the Chinese LoL league, the former LoL World Champion signed for JD Gaming with high expectations; however, the team failed to deliver.

While JD Gaming had a solid start to the year, finishing LPL 2024 Spring in third place, they flopped in the summer split and ended the playoffs in the seventh-eighth.

Despite being billed as one of the top squads in the LPL, JD Gaming ended the season early, with a third-place finish in the LPL 2024 Regional Finals, thus missing their ticket for the LoL World Championships 2024.
The disappointing ending to the season led to the departure of ADC Ruler, who left the team on October 27 to rejoin Gen.G. Just a month later, JD Gaming have announced further changes to their top lane.

Along with Flandre's departure, JD Gaming revealed the signing of Ale, an experienced top laner who jas previously played for LNG Esports, EDward Gaming and last season spent the final split with Anyone's Legend.

It is unclear whether JD Gaming will make further roster changes to their lineup, as the remaining three players, jungle Seo "Kanavi" Jin-hyeok, mid laner Zeng "Yagao" Qi, and support Lou "MISSING" Yun-Feng all had their contracts expire in November.
