FunPlus Phoenix are 0-2 with losses against Royal Never Give Up and Ninjas in Pyjamas, whereas Invictus Gaming lost to NiP and bested Royal Never Give Up. Expected results from both teams, granted you could argue that FPX had a good chance of beating RNG.

This, however, does not change the fact that IG are the superior team; the only question is whether they will manage to perform at 100%. However, you approach betting on this match comes down to how much you trust Invictus Gaming to do what they’re expected to.

So early into the season, it is fair to have doubts, but at 2.62, IG to sweep is a solid choice.

Invictus Gaming are a very good team on paper and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that they emerge as one of the best squads in the league, eventually.

They lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas in the first match of LPL 2025 Split 1 and bounced back with a 3-1 win against Royal Never Give Up. While RNG bested FPX, they are not that much better, so it is fair to expect IG to do just as well against FunPlus Phoenix on Saturday.

On the other side, this is only their third game of the season, so it is fair to question whether Invictus Gaming should be priced as such massive favourites.

FunPlus Phoenix made significant roster changes before the 2025 LoL esport season and they’ve so far yet to win a game. First, FPX lost to Royal Never Give Up (1-3) and last week, they fell against Ninjas in Pyjamas (0-3).

FPX played fairly well against RNG and you could argue they should not have lost that game. The loss to Ninjas in Pyjamas was more one-sided, although FunPlus Phoenix held on well on the second map which could’ve easily ended in their favour.

Overall, FPX have shown some good things, although they’ve never come close to actually winning the series.

You have to have good reasons to back a team to sweep so early into the season, but FunPlus Phoenix have looked way too shaky in their recent two outings to believe they can put up a fight on Saturday.

Admittedly, Invictus Gaming did not look too convincing against RNG, but RNG have been playing better than FunPlus Phoenix. I expect the individual talent to shine though here and lead IG to a comfortable victory.
