G2 Esports made it to the fifth round of ESL Pro League Season 21 Stage 2 with wins against paiN Gaming (2-0) and SAW (2-0), but proved no match for The MongolZ (1-2) and Natus Vincere, who bested them 2-0 in the previous round of the playoffs.

It was not a very close game, as NaVi won Mirage (13-9) and Ancient (13-6) without any major issues. Admittedly, NaVi are a good squad, but G2 Esports did not seem like they're on the same page in the series, which has been the case in some of their most recent series.

G2 Esports have the talent to compete for top spots, and there is no telling when they'll find the needed traction to prove it. However, as of now, G2 Esports still have some improving to do.

GamerLegion have done well to make it to the final round of ESL Pro League Season 21 Stage 2, but they needed to step up in the third round after dropping the first two against MongolZ (0-2) and paiN Gaming (1-2).

In the last two, GamerLegion bested TYLOO and SAW, who Erik "ztr" Gustafsson and his crew bested 2-0 and 2-1. The series against TYLOO was incredibly close (19-15, 22-20), whereas GL had a much easier time besting SAW (5-13, 13-9, 13-8).

GamerLegion did not have to beat any tough opponents to make it this far, but the same can be said for G2 Esports, who have only bested paiN and SAW.
