Neither squad have accomplished much this season and they've both been out of action since early February, which is something to consider as they will enter BLAST Open Spring 2025 a bit rusty and unlikely in the best shape.

The two teams have also shown similar results earlier this season, which is one more reason to believe this will be a competitive game between two rosters of similar quality. FaZe arguably should be slight favourites as they have a higher ceiling, but Virtus.pro are no slouches and will not go down without a fight.

This will mark the first meeting between FaZe Clan and Virtus.pro of the 2025 season.

FaZe Clan played their last match in February when they finished PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 in fourth place. Although not a terrible placement, FaZe Clan did not look exceptionally great with losses to Falcons and Astralis.

Earlier this season, FaZe also exited BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 in the second round of closed qualifiers and Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025 after four games – with wins against G2 Esports and BIG and two losses against Vitality and Eternal Fire.

While FaZe Clan have shown some signs of life, they have not managed to produce anything spectacular, so it is more than fair to question their chances to make it far at BLAST Open Spring 2025.

Virtus.pro have yet to win a tournament this season, nor have they come close. They ended their BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 campaign in ninth-16th place, exited Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025 in fifth-sixth, and placed ninth-11th at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025.

With just seven wins and seven losses this season, Virtus.pro have not produced much and seem to be in a similar spot to FaZe Clan. That said, Virtus.pro, like FaZe, have a lot more to show and they have the players to do well even in bigger events.

As a team that should never be underestimated, Virtus.pro have a lot of firepower, which has previously caused issues for even some of the best CS2 teams in the world.
