SAW, who are the lowest-rated team of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, will take on one of the leading tournament favourites in what seems like an unwinnable game. The two squads already met in the first round of the Swiss Stage, when FaZe won 2-0, and the rematch will unlikely play out any differently.

SAW pulled off a miracle to make it this far. But this is the end of the road for them.

FaZe Clan had a slow start to the season, having suffered an early elimination from Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025 with losses to Vitality and Eternal Fire. Before that, they also got eliminated from BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 in the final round of the qualifiers at the hands of the surging paiN Gaming.

Following two challenging tournament runs, FaZe Clan turned on their jets and are now playing like an entirely different team. As it seems, FaZe needed some time to adjust to a new life with EliGE, who became the leading player on his new team, averaging the tournament’s third-highest rating at 1.24 across seven maps played.

With wins agianst SAW, Eternal Fire, and MOUZ, FaZe Clan have proved they mean business and that they’re more than ready to go all the way in Romania. And while they might hit a hurdle, that will not happen on Friday.

SAW have not looked the same since the offseason roster changes. They started the season with last-place finishes at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier and Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025, and SAW did not amaze anyone with their ninth-12th-place finish at RES Showdown Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier leading into PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025.

Despite the rough showings, SAW managed to pull off a miracle and made it to the playoffs.

SAW started the tournament with losses against Astralis (0-2) and FaZe (0-2) but then picked up three wins against FlyQuest, Complexity, and 3DMAX. Yet even those results are hardly inspiring.

Beating 3DMAX is SAW’s most significant accomplishment since they won ESL Challenger Katowice 2024 with their previous roster, and even that was a fluke.
