The last clash between Royal Ravens and Toronto Ultra extended to five maps, although the Royal Ravens could’ve won in three had they not dropped maps three and four.

Carolina Royal Ravens have been holding on relatively well this season. They placed fourth at the recent CDL 2025 Stage 1 Major, and were not too bad during the Major 1 qualifiers; granted the Royal Ravens slowed down a bit in the latter stages.

Since returning from the Major, Carolina Royal Ravens slipped against Los Angeles Thieves (0-3), which was not the best start to CDL 2025 Stage 2. They lost Hardpoint 153-250, Search & Destroy 2-3, and Control 1-3.

In their defence, the Thieves are in excellent form, and the Royal Ravens were not expected to win that series. Still, they previously performed well against Toronto Ultra, so you have to feel hopeful the Royal Ravens can do it again.

Toronto Ultra had an excellent start to the year. They finished CDL 2025 Stage 1 Major Qualifiers in second place with a 6-1 record but failed to carry over the momentum to the Major, where Ultra crashed out in fifth-sixth place after a 2-3 loss to Carolina Royal Ravens.

It was a competitive game in which Toronto Ultra fought back after Carolina Royal Ravens took a 2-0 lead but came out short on the second Search & Destroy.

Toronto Ultra will now have a point to prove, however, with little to no changes to the map picks, the rematch will likely play out very similarly.

Toronto Ultra have improved on some of the issues they had in CDL 2025 Stage 1 Major Qualifiers, but they are not quite there. Search & Destroy will likely dictate how this game plays out, and while both teams can be a bit shaky in the game mode, the Royal Ravens have looked better.

They have the tendency of starting S&D maps slow, which could turn around and bite them, but at 2.00, the Royal Ravens are an obvious pick.
