Now, only two sides are left in the competition, with pre-tournament favourites India taking on New Zealand in a match that should be incredible exciting.

India are currently available at 1.40 to secure the trophy this year after embarking on a perfect run to this point.

India have beaten Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand in the group stage before then easing past Australia in the semi-finals.

Opponents New Zealand (3.00) arrive having beaten Pakistan and New Zealand before slipping to a defeat at the hands of India. They then eliminated South Africa in the semi-final to set up a rematch with India in the final.

Many had thought that the winner of the Champions Trophy would come from the first semi-final involving India and Australia. India are the best side in the competition, while Australia have proved they are a supreme tournament team.

Meanwhile, both New Zealand and South Africa have struggled to come good on generally being seen as sides that can compete at a major tournament. Instead, they have generally fallen away, and that will be the worry heading into this one.

New Zealand's 44 run loss to India in their final group game will be something the Black Caps need to learn from quickly. India battled to 249/9 despite slipping to 30/3 in the sixth over. While New Zealand looked well on top, India rallied, and the Black Caps found batting against their opponents incredibly tough, with eight of their 11 batsmen failing to score 20 or more runs.

The pressure in this one will be on an Indian side that is fully expected to win this one. New Zealand arrive as the underdogs, and they will be roared on by many fans looking to see the Black Caps finally end their tournament struggles in 2025.
