It’s almost hard to believe that the six-time European champions have only now, near the end of the season, put together back-to-back EuroLeague wins–but that’s the reality of their turbulent campaign.

After lifting the Israeli Cup, Maccabi’s main focus will be defending their domestic league title, a challenge made even tougher by strong competition from Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem.

Monaco got back on track with a 91-79 win over Paris, strengthening their push for home-court advantage in the playoffs.

Daniel Theis, who recently joined the team, had his best game so far, putting up 21 points and 7 rebounds, while Jordan Loyd matched him with the same scoring output. 

Theis has quickly become a key piece, giving Monaco a reliable option in pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop situations while also shoring up their defense.

Just days before this matchup, Monaco defeated Paris again in the French league, keeping their momentum high. Coach Spanoulis is still without Vitto Brown and Nick Calathes, who are recovering from injuries, though both could return in about 10 days.
